Burford was the opening day's course in 2008 but had been used three years earlier in a test event for Ben W's birthday. (This was where Bruce left his shoes by the side of the road so that when we went back to get that them it looked like the shoes' owner was either invisible or had recently spontaneously combusted.)
Burford's website says that the course "provides a challenging yet ultimately rewarding test of golf in
beautiful natural surroundings... and is particularly noted for its
high-quality greens." You'll have to let me know on that. It's a 6,078 yard par 71 - I know that much.
The course planner shows a very tree-lined 18 holes with what looks to be narrow fairways to aim at. It's small wonder that no one took this apart on the Tour.
Best rounds:
30 points - Kevin (off 9)
29 points - Ben W (off 11)
29 points - Brian (off 16)
Let me know if you've got anything else to add about this course.
