Cottrell Park (Mackintosh) - "a testing but enjoyable walk"
Named after Alfred Donald Mackintosh of Mackintosh, the 28th Chief of Clan Mackintosh and Chief of Clan Chattan, who resided at Cottrell during the 19th and 20th Centuries.
The Mackintosh Course is a longer Parkland Course - 6,099 yards off the yellow tees. (Can you tell I've been reading the website?)
This was the Friday course on the 2007 tour. I've had a look at the course planner and it looks like the targets off the tees are fairly generous and there's not a lot of water on it.
It must have been fairly gentle because I managed 37 points (off 30! - I've kept my scorecard!) so must have been one of my best-ever rounds and I even joined the 'twos club' on the 12th which is uphill to a blind green.
Any of you out there remember playing this one? What was the verdict? Let me know.
