The Derby - "a shorter, more relaxed course for players of all levels"

The Derby at The Belfry ("the ultimate golfing experience") was the first course of the 2009 Tour.

Am I being harsh if I say this isn't that interesting a course? I can remember the third (a par three with a raised green) and possibly the 12th (because I had an air shot after hitting a rare good drive).

Looking at the course guide it really doesn't shout 'interesting' at you. It's pretty straight, plenty of carry before you reach the fairway and there's only a couple of holes where water might come into play. It's all a bit samey really.

Best scores:

28 points - Kevin (off 9)
25 points - James (off 34)
25 points - Simon (off 22)

Have I got this course all wrong? Did you love it? Let me know.
