The first course of our Saturday double header at Canford Magna was the Parkland course.
There was a certain amount of pressure on the first tee because there
was a starter to greet us and check our tickets but we all got away
after a fashion. My main recollection of the day was the weather which
ranged between drizzly and really quite wet.
The course itself? I can't really remember. There was water about and it
must have been on the short side for me to score so well, particularly
the par threes. Looking at the scorecard is just over 6,000 yards off
the yellow tees but there are four par threes under 320 yards and the
par threes are all under 170.
That's enough for yardages - can you remember any particular challenges on this course?
Best scores:
42 points - Paul (off 36)
38 points - Ben W (off 8)
32 points - Kevin (off 13)
32 points - Simon (off 14)
