The 2004 Tour finished at Monmouth Golf Club. When we rolled up I think we all felt the place had the air of an ordinary municipal but this is a course with some lovely scenery.
The sixth is a super par three with a ditch in front and over-hanging trees, the eighth was included in the book 'Britain's 100 Extraordinary Golf Holes', the 14th has a great downhill drive and the 17th is down and across a valley.
There are a lot of slopes on the course and its a good test of golf but clearly a fair one looking at the best scores...
38 points - Brian (off 22)
36 points - Mark (off 13)
33 points - Ben W (off 8)
33 points - Simon (off 15)
Do you agree with my assessment of the course. Can you add any more? You know what to do!
